Two Men Face Charges In Connection With Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack

Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be irritant spray led to people being hurt at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.

The charges follow an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their luggage taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, police said.

A young child was among those injured during the incident. Five people were taken to a medical facility and were subsequently released.

This event – described by police as was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
